Delete your MindQot account
This page explains how to delete your MindQot account and the data associated with it. You can request deletion here without reinstalling or opening the app.
MindQot is operated by Anirudh Verma. For privacy details, see our Privacy Policy.
Option 1 — Delete in the app
If you still have the app installed, you can delete your account directly:
Open MindQot → Settings → Delete Account, then confirm.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email (no app needed)
If you no longer have the app installed, or prefer to request deletion externally, email us from the address associated with your MindQot account:
To:
mindqot.support@gmail.com
Subject: Delete my MindQot account
What to include
- Your account email — the email address you used to sign up. Please send from that address if you can.
- Optional identifying context — only if needed to help us locate your account (for example, your display name). Do not send your password. We will never ask you for your password.
Identity verification
Before we process a deletion, we may need to verify that you own the account — for example, by confirming that your request comes from the account's email address. This protects you from someone else deleting your account.
What deletion removes
When your deletion request is processed, the current MindQot implementation permanently removes the data associated with your account, including:
- your Firebase Authentication account (your sign-in identity);
- your user profile;
- your registered device and push-notification token records;
- your daily briefing records (daily drops);
- your learning-path progress;
- your card interaction records;
- your notification logs; and
- any subscription mirror and subscription-webhook records associated with your account, where present.
Shared, non-personal content (such as wisdom cards and learning-path definitions) is not deleted, because it is not your personal data.
What may not be removed immediately
Some data handled through the Firebase services may persist for a period after your account is deleted:
- Crash and diagnostic data already collected by Firebase Crashlytics is kept by Google for 90 days, after which Google begins removing it from its live and backup systems (per Google's current documentation).
- Records held by Google as part of the Firebase services (for example, authentication and messaging records) are retained and removed according to Google's own practices and schedules, which we do not control. We do not represent that all such records are removed on a fixed timeline following your MindQot account deletion.
- Operational and security logs may be kept for a period so we can operate the Service reliably and protect it from abuse. Some log entries may include identifiers such as your account identifier; these logs are retained under our operational logging practices and are separate from the account record deleted above.
How long it takes
We aim to process valid deletion requests within a reasonable period, subject to identity verification and any legally required retention.
Deletion is permanent
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account and data are deleted, your progress, streaks, and history cannot be recovered. To use MindQot again, you would need to create a new account.
If you have a subscription (future)
MindQot does not currently offer paid subscriptions. If paid subscriptions become available in the future and you hold one, note that deleting your MindQot account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed through an app store. You would need to manage or cancel that subscription through the store where you purchased it (for example, Google Play). We will update this page with specific guidance if and when subscriptions are offered.
